SUMMIT SESSIONS

Session Organization in Innovation Summit

IRP invites R&D stakeholders to organize technology sessions, policy workshops and seminars in the summit.  The purpose is to develop and promote each session organizer as centre of excellence in that specific subject and central point for development. IRP requests academia to organize session and drive technology journey in their related subject.

The summit sessions follow Shark Tank model where viable technologies are presented in front of pannel of investors and donors. 

Objective for Session Organization

  • To support the organizer to grow as centre for technology development
  • To drive technology development in the subject
  • To connect all the stakeholders in the subject
  • To facilitate technology identification, presentation and commercialization
  • To bring industry and inspire for investment in the academic technologies

Type of Session in Each Summit

  • Technology Session – Various Viable Technologies are presented for industries
  • Policy Sessions – Policy dialogue and invited lectures to discuss economics, science, technology and innovation policy
  • Business Plan Competition – Ideas are invited for initial screening and finalized for presentation and real time business incubation.

The Working for Summit Session

  • Selection of topic relevant to department expertise
  • Developing team of teachers and students
  • Engaging industry partners
  • Writing letters to academia to collect 100+ projects for each session
  • Assessment of projects to finalize five viable projects for session
  • Inviting industry to attend session
  • Inviting industry to present sector highlights and overview
  • Promoting session in media, institutions and government circles
  • Executing successful session
  • Sharing viable technologies with IRP team of commercialization

  • Sitting of Panel from Industry and Academia
  • 5-8 projects presentation of viable technologies
  • Feedback of panel judges
